WOT NOW

Technology. Strategy. Creative. Leadership. People.

My claim to fame is a Hotmail account circa 1998 that I set up at Las Chicas, Aoyama, Tokyo, when I did a working holiday stint in Japan.

In my most recent role as founder and director of Present Company, I led the agency from inception to an organisation of 70+ staff, delivering strategy, tech, and content across a diverse range of clients. I was responsible for all aspects of the business, including operations, finance, human resources, and business development. My role spanned strategic planning, operational oversight, financial management, team leadership, client relationships, and revenue growth, ensuring the agency's long-term success and sustainability.

My career started in cooking, which I did for 12 years, working in some of the best kitchens in early 90’s Sydney. Bilsons, Cicada, The Pier, Biboteca. Hospitality taught me a lot: organisational skills, operations, how to ensure there was nothing left in the fridge at the end of the night and, most importantly, people. I'd run brigades of anywhere from 5 to 50 people at service.

Then I fell into technology when I got back to Sydney in 2000. I started coding on Sinclair ZX81s and Commodore 64s when I was a kid and played a lot of video games. And hit a lot of BBS boards. Seeing the 2000’s internet starting to ascend pulled me back in.

I code as much as I can but these days my focus is leading teams of developers and creatives.

I'm a firm believer in understanding how the entire stack works, from ideation to execution. And how an agency works, from people to process.

I’ve been playing around with LLMs, scraping websites, scanning photos and ripping CDs.

I get technical. I get creative. I get people.
